At First United Methodist Church in Newton we are proud to have an active unit of United Women in Faith. We are a sisterhood of the oldest women’s faith based organization in the world for over 150 years. We support mission projects to help women, children and youth worldwide.

Within our unit there are four active circles that meet on a regular basis. Mary Circle meets the third Wednesday of each month at PJ’s Deli at 9:30AM. Miriam Circle also meets at PJ’s Deli on the third Wednesday of each month at 1:00PM. Dorcas Circle, our newest circle, meets on the 1st Saturdays in February, April, June, August, October & December at 9am at various members’ homes. The Park Centre Circle, for women at our Wesley Retirement Center, meets on the fourth Wednesdays at 2:00PM in the private dining room of Park Centre. Mary and Park Center Circles do not meet during June, July and August.

Supportive members are welcome to be part of our sisterhood with any support of their choosing. We have officers that take care of the work and organization of our unit with executive board meetings as scheduled. Contact person for more information is Marcilee Yeager – phone 641-792-7448.
