What's New?
PASTOR GARY also leads worship in the Park Centre Garden Room on Sundays from 10-10:40 AM. This is intended for those who find it difficult to attend either the 8:30 or 11:00 AM services. There will be music, prayer, and the morning message. An offering for the ministry of First United Methodist Church will be collected. This service of worship will be held every Sunday and everyone is welcome to attend.
ALPHA course begins on Wednesday, September 12th. This ten-week evangelistic outreach course begins at 5:45 PM each Wednesday night for a dinner followed by Christian videos and a small group discussion. This is an awesome course and offers a time for fellowship and Christian enlightenment. The public is invited to attend. Call the church office for more information.
HOG ROAST - The United Methodist Men's third annual hog roast is scheduled for Saturday, September 20th, with serving beginning at 5:30 PM in the church parking lot. Smoked pork, coleslaw, baked beans and beverages will be served. There will also be games and activities. A free-will offering will be taken to benefit the Shoes that Fit program and other caues within our community. The public is invited to attend. Come on out for a fun evening and some great pork!
ANGEL FOOD MINISTRY is now accepting orders for September. The menu is available in the narthex and at the Angel Food Ministry order table in the dining room. Orders will be taken Sundays 9:30-11:00 AM in the dining room and Fridays 2-6 PM in the church office hallway. Please support this ministry and buy a box for yourself or to donate to a needy family.
RADIO BROADCAST - If you can't attend worship, our weekly services are delayed broadcast on 95.9 FM KCOB each Sunday morning at 9 AM.
OUR MISSION MARKET IS STILL OPEN THIS FALL. The Outreach Committee invites all to join in as usual with stocking the table with baked goods and garden produce and also to shop for your needs. All donations will support World Hunger.
WE HAVE MANY CELL GROUPS beginning soon. Check out the link "Cell Groups" to find out more specifics on dates, times, leaders and topics. We would encourage you to join us for one or more studies.
REMINDER: DOMINO'S PIZZA WILL DONATE $1 toward the FUMC youth group for every weekly church bulletin received with a pizza order. Bulletins can be given in the store or to the delivery drivers.
